What You'll Do: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master to support a key federal agency initiative. This dual-role position will combine the responsibilities of business analysis with agile project management in a Scrum Master capacity to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced and complex environment. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are properly defined, documented, and delivered while facilitating agile practices to enhance team productivity. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Business Analysis: Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Lead efforts to gather and document business and system requirements, ensuring that the client's objectives are clearly defined and achievable.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with federal stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and end-users to elicit, analyze, and prioritize business needs.Business Process Modeling: Analyze and map existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or process reengineering where necessary.Documentation: Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are clear and comprehensive.Change Management: Support the change management process, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to new solutions.Testing Support: Collaborate with the QA team to design test cases, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure requirements are met during the testing phase.Scrum Master:Agile Process Facilitation: Act as the Scrum Master for multiple cross-functional teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).Team Leadership: Help teams embrace Agile principles and practices, promoting self-organization and continuous improvement.Backlog Management: Assist the Product Owner in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the federal agency's goals and objectives.Impediment Removal: Identify and remove obstacles that may hinder the team's ability to deliver high-quality software.Stakeholder Communication: Ensure effective communication between the development team and stakeholders, providing visibility into the project's progress, risks, and opportunities.Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on team performance using Agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity) and provide insights to leadership for decision-making. What You'll Need:Secret Clearance preferredMust be a US CitizenEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with at least 2 years in a Scrum Master role supporting federal government projects.Proven experience working with federal agencies or large government contracts is preferred.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience applying them in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) required.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence,).Experience in business process modeling and requirements management tools.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other related tools.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
