KOMPAN US is in search of a skilled 3D Artist to join our team, playing a crucial role in transforming fitness and playground plans from AutoCAD into captivating 3D renders, animations, and Virtual Tours using 3ds Max.
This position requires close collaboration with Sales Representatives and Architectural Planners to ensure that the visualizations align with client needs and project objectives.
The visualizer will create an engaging and imaginative environment through product selection, customization, juxtaposition, and surface design on projects across the North American region, ensuring the experience of KOMPAN's three tenants of play: Wow, Stay, Develop.
This position will collaborate closely with other departments in back-office roles such as Pre Sales, Project Sales Coordination, Project Coordination, and Install, as well as on-site colleagues working in the field as Project Managers and Sales Representatives.

What You'll Do Interpret AutoCAD plans into 3ds Max Scenes for visualizationUse equipment selection, customization, juxtaposition and surfacing design to tell stories and build engaging experiencesTranslate topographical contours into accurate 3D embankments and terrainUse Forestpack and Railclone to apply foliage, hardscape, infrastructure, vehicles, and characters Use Vray to light and render scenes in appealing compositions that tell a visual story and draw the audience inPaint and illustrate digitally in Photoshop to convey customized product designs using a digital drawing tabletCreate Fly-through animations that showcase both the products and the space in a fun and cinematic wayRender and set up Virtual panoramic tours that allow the viewer to become immersed in the experience as if they were in the spaceUtilize multi-pass compositing in Photoshop and After Effects to bring your renders to life and add that post-production POPWork within a regional group of designers to coordinate work and project responsibilitiesPay special attention to inclusive features such as curb heights, thresholds, and accessible pathways in the final rendersCreate visually compelling presentations that tell a story about proposed design solutionsOccasionally present design solutions to clients or end users What You'll Need Proficiency in 3ds Max + Vray (or experience with Maya, Zbrush, Cinema4D, Rhino, Revit, Arnold, Blender, Cycles, or similar 3D software), Microsoft Office, Adobe Products, Wacom Tablet (or similar digital sketch tablet)Proficient in character, vehicle, and prop design, with the capability to produce turnarounds that preserve scale, perspective, and volume.Bachelor's degree or greater in an applicable field including Animation, Game design, interior design, architectural design, etc.Experience in architectural visualization, Product design and visualization, 3D modeling, game design, VFX, Illustration, playground design, amusement park design, waterpark design, etc.Proficiency in navigating a pipeline that encompasses various stages and employs multiple software applications that all need to shake handsExperience in interpreting site plans, ensuring accuracy in scale, and comprehending topographical featuresAbility to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines and visual expectationsAbility to communicate ideas quickly and clearly through illustration with a strong understanding of appeal and conceptStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at onceOnline portfolio that demonstrates strong design and visualization skillsAbility to develop and communicate a project design narrative through compelling presentationsExperience working with clients preferredPassion for creating amazing playgrounds This is a hybrid position located in north Austin.
