The Account Executive coordinates the entire order process from point of purchase through shipment. Works closely with the customer base, territory manager, and sales manager in communicating lead times, quotes, and market information. Responsible for a specific geographic area and customer base within that area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with the sales manager to meet or exceed company metrics.Total Margin dollarsTotal volume by major product category and regionDaily CWT by product groupAverage stop weight and average truck weightTotal returns and allowancesProspecting -- Dormant Accounts, New LocationsCRM engagementCustomer Contact for Order ManagementBuilds and maintains customer relationshipsOrganizes and manages production cycle -- Order entry to shipmentMaintains pricing and product accuracy through order processCommunicates with all facets of the team: Territory Managers, Sales Manager, Operations, Traffic, and CreditWorks with Traffic Department for all logistics of customer shipments including routing, stops, etc...Main contact for all customer inquiries during order processCustomer Contact for Quote ManagementEnters quotes for customers: Price Agreement / QuoteCommunicates with Territory Managers and Sales Manager on Quote ManagementTracks and provides follow-up on quotes and price agreementsCustomer InteractionCreate call rotation for customer baseDaily and weekly communication with Territory Manager and Sales ManagerLog key situations and conversations in CRM ProgramOther ResponsibilitiesDaily Shipping MeetingsAttend sales meetings and presentationsProvide account coverage when necessaryLearn Clark Dietrich products and services through provided training and individual researchProvide data and participate in Account Reviews for assigned marketsMaintain and update Customer Contact informationAchieve goals and objectives set forth by Sales ManagerResolve sales adjustments (credits), coordinate returns/pick-ups, log necessary incidents utilizing CRM systemLimited travel to assigned territoryREQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONSStrong communication, customer service, and organizational skillsDetail-orientedAble to work in a team environmentStrong interest in continuous improvementAbility to work with offsite locations to resolve problemsStrong work ethicEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree preferredThe military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.REASONING ABILITYAbility to analyze complex issues.CLARKDIETRICH BENEFITS INCLUDEFull benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, and Life Insurance)401(k) with company matchMonthly IncentivePaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementProfessional Certification Reimbursement Program
