Responsibilities
• Assists the accounting department with maintenance of the accounting system• Conducts and coordinates program and fiscal reviews for compliance with funding• Assists accounting to develop and maintain budgeting systems• Handles accounts payable, accounts receivables• Assists with auditing payroll records• Prepares program and consolidated financial statements, invoices and other reports for submission• Provides technical and supportive assistance to the accounting, billing and bookkeeping staff• Reconciliation• Performs other duties assigned by the VP/CFO in keeping with the agency's philosophy, purpose, priorities, goals and objectives
Requirements
• Minimum of Associates Degree or higher level education• Five or years' experience as a bookkeeper or equivalent• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting can be substituted for five years' experience• Associates Degree in Accounting can be substituted for two years' experience• Knowledge of automated accounting systems, word processing programs and spreadsheet applications• Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of accounting, with emphasis on governmental and non-profit accounting systems and procedures a plus
