We are currently partnering with an esteemed organization committed to excellence to fill the position of Accountant III at their Administrative Office in Salem, Oregon.
Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Accountant III to ensure fiscal sustainability by providing exceptional financial and managerial accounting support. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Fiscal Services Manager and other stakeholders, overseeing processes, maintaining meticulous records, and upholding the highest standards of confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAPAnalyze financial trends and transactionsInterpret complex accounts and account relationships to facilitate accurate accounting entriesEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and ordinancesMaintain internal and external partner relationshipsProduce reports from financial dataUphold integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in all tasksWork effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesDemonstrate exceptional organizational, verbal, written, and presentation skills Desired Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparationExperience analyzing complex accountsStrong integrity, confidentiality, and discretionExcellent communication skillsAbility to interpret accounting transactions and produce reportsExceptional organizational skills Working Conditions: Flexible hours, including occasional late nights and weekendsOccasional travel, including overnight tripsAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periodsWillingness to climb stairs without assistive aids Minimum Qualifications: Four (4) years of professional accounting experience AND a CPA certificate ORTwo (2) years of professional accounting experience AND a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Additional Requirements: Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background checkPass pre-employment drug screening
