**Job Description:**
Frontier Communications is seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated, and passionate Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, supporting various accounting functions, and helping maintain compliance with regulatory standards. **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Financial Record Maintenance:**
Maintain and manage accurate financial records and oversee general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- **Financial Reporting:**
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- **Account Analysis:**
Conduct thorough accounting analyses, including variance analysis and trend reporting, to provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency.
- **Tax Preparation:**
Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Stay updated on tax changes that may affect the company's finances.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
Collaborate with management to assist in budget preparation, monitoring performance against budget, and contributing to forecasting efforts.
- **Internal Controls:**
Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- **Audit Support:**
Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries as needed.
- **Research & Continuing Education:**
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements through continuous research and professional development.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**
Work with other departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance on financial policies and procedures.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:**
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience:**
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- **Technical Proficiency:**
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup).
- **Certifications:**
CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
