Your Role
As a part-time accounting intern, you will support the financial department by performing daily accounting tasks.
What You'll Do
Assist general ledger accountants with job costing, billing, and project analysis.
Assist in processing daily cash receipts and banking.
May assist with month-end close tasks (i.e. journal entries).
Support accounts payable and payroll team members with data entry.
Participate in ad hoc projects.
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Undergrad student with a major in Accounting or Business major with emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
Should be interested in a career in Accounting or Finance.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, routine databases; ability and willingness to learn new computer applications.
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to discreetly handle sensitive, confidential, and time-sensitive duties while maintaining a solid customer service orientation; and ability to effectively interface with all levels of staff.
Keen eye for detail, ability to multi-task, and maintain exceptional accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
The reasonable compensation range for this position includes a new hire base hourly rate of $22.00 – 25.00 per hour + comprehensive benefits + potential for a discretionary profit-sharing bonus.
Approximately weekly hours between 16 to 30 hours, willing to accommodate school schedule.
Individual pay within this compensation range may span multiple levels within the role and is determined by assessing job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. It also factors in market demands and business needs. The disclosed range may be subject to change or modification based on business needs in the future.
