We're seeking a dynamic adjunct instructor to lead our Continuing Education and Workforce Development Healthcare Careers Department, focusing primarily on the Foundations for Healthcare Careers course and other engaging continuing education programs. As an adjunct instructor, you'll deliver comprehensive instruction, both in the classroom and online, guiding students toward their career goals with enthusiasm and expertise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our team, you'll:
Lead well-structured classes that align with course objectives and student needs.
Develop captivating course content, including arranging guest speakers to enrich the learning experience.
Engage students in the Workplace Excellence Series modules, fostering essential skills for success in healthcare careers.
Offer ongoing support to students via email and phone, ensuring their questions are promptly addressed.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and achievement.
Foster a supportive learning environment, building professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the broader community.
Stay current in your field by participating in professional development opportunities, enhancing both your knowledge and teaching methods.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of five years' experience in a professional or allied healthcare field, bringing valuable real-world insights to the classroom.
An Associate's degree or higher, demonstrating your commitment to education and professional growth.
Desired Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
Previous teaching experience, whether in a classroom setting or through corporate training programs.
Familiarity with educational tools such as Blackboard LMS and PowerPoint, enhancing your ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.

A deep understanding and appreciation of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our student body.
