Travel: Job Summary: Position Summary: Maintain and implement environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EPA, state of Texas, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Work with and support management teams to prevent injuries and illnesses. Manage worker's compensation claims.
Primary Position Responsibilities: Support Management's efforts to prevent injuries, including leading a Safety Committee, acting on safety concerns, implementing and tracking corrective actions, and maintaining safety improvement action registers.Develop, update, and deliver EHS training/awareness programs to both employees and contractors for compliance, injury/illness prevention, and EMS Certification.Review job functions, materials handling, and other activities including machine operations and manual lifting to determine improvements for compliance assurance and injury/illness prevention.Analyze injury/illness incidents, including near misses for comprehensive root cause determination. Track identified corrective action to resolution.Manage WC claims to achieve prompt medical attention, return to work, cost containment, and claim closure.Manage facility hazardous waste and air emissions programs to ensure full compliance.Review and update site EHS programs, including objective and target projects to achieve timely completion.Maintain all compliance and EHS certification records per corporate record of retention procedure.Accomplish all job-related paperwork in the most accurate and ethical manner.Attend meetings, communicate regularly with managers and supervisors, attend special training, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and communicate to supervisors any safety hazards and issues.Report all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions. Perform duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment.Participate in safety training and understand and follow directions identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE assessment, Safety Data Sheets, and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.Properly handle and dispose of all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations.Assist with HR Administrative related duties as needed.Manage fleet vehicle maintenance for safe business travel.
