Uses various tools and systems (ERP and others) to assess demand, usability and location of available inventory to establish Supply Plans to meet the current and expected demand for parts or subassemblies.
These Supply Plans could be in the form or Work Orders for rebuilding, alteration, inspection, and return to service by the PAH, direction or triggers to Purchasing for the procurement of new parts, engagement with Engineering and Quality for the assessment of alternate parts or materials or any other path to meet the demands.
Typically, a Aircraft Production/Supply Planner is able to devise, implement and follow through on nominally simple strategies and programs with minimum guidance and supervision, and will rely on guidance from IPT to execute on matters of higher scope and complexity.
Demonstrate exceptional ownership and accountability for his/her parts and products, addressing both technical as well as business obstacles to achieve aircraft production support and business objectives, effectively and promptly escalating concerns, both technical as well as business roadblocks to Supply Chain management, IPT, and other departments and resources for guidance and direction.
Manages the day-to-day interface for Procurement, Production Planning, and assigned aircraft/NPI projects.
Participates in material readiness meetings with Program/Project/Supply Chain Management to ensure understanding of supply base and related challenges (i.e.
supplier location and logistics, sole sourced components, component lead-time, order lead-time and order cancellation windows).
Partners with Procurement and Production Planning to execute the make/buy and source selection activities to support aircraft production.
Develops Supply Plans to assure material flow for assigned project sourcing.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, aircraft/subcomponent design and maintenance documents, Service Bulletins and other related documents to ensure parts can be rebuilt or type design and compliant with OEM requirements and triggers Supply Plans for parts or assemblies required to meet aircraft production, engineering change orders and new product introductions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
2+ years Production management, Production Control and/or Supply Planning experience working in structured, complex and highly regulated Manufacturing environment.
2+ years experience in executing a Production Control and/or Supply Planner function in an organization enabled by a ERP system, including execution of nominally complex New Products and/or new capability deployment programs.
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9110 standards.
APICS certifications (CSCP, CPIM) and/or other advanced Supply Chain or Lean Manufacturing certifications highly desirable.
Experience working with an internal document control system.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proven history of quickly learning/adaptation to new/unfamiliar ERP applications as evidenced by previous employment history in ERP-enabled enterprises.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels both internal and external to the company.
Maintain a good working relationship with all team members, stakeholders and customers.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Competence and familiarity with engineering (aviation preferred) drawings, specifications, materials, processes, and inspections.
Ability to prepare weekly, monthly, annual and end of project reports as required.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously within stringent time constraints.
Ability to learn, interpret and apply policies, procedures, and resolutions.
Ability to interface with functional departments at various levels.
