Overview
Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide, delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.
Summary: The Allied Trades Specialist shall perform general facilities maintenance technician duties as follows: carpentry finish and rough; roofer; plumber; painter; appliance and equipment repair; concrete; facilities maintenance technician; and laborer support.
Responsibilities: Construct, maintain, and repair test articles, structures, facilities, and associated test support requirements. Perform building and office renovations and routine facility maintenance.Support meetings, dispose of shredded paper runs, moving equipment items, and logistical support including requisitioning and picking up materials from local vendors.Support projects and perform site maintenance to include operating tractors, Bobcat, sweepers, plow, snow throwers and towed or attached equipment to transport materials and equipment, digging, loading, spraying, clearing, or mowing.Perform plumbing duties such as troubleshooting/testing various plumbing systems and equipment including backflow prevention devices. Independently install, modify, repair, and maintain a variety of new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment.Perform carpentry duties such as applying skilled methods, techniques, and advanced shop mathematics to construct, install, repair, and modify a wide variety of structures.Perform masonry duties such as maintaining, repairing, and constructing cement and concrete surfaces.Perform painting duties such as preparing various surfaces of interior and exterior components of buildings and other structures.Perform roofing duties such as repairing and installing roofs consisting of various materials.Perform repair and preventative maintenance duties on appliances, equipment, and systems.Perform grounds keeping duties such as operating large, complex riding lawn mowers and similar types of specialized mowing equipment.Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. Qualifications: Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Ability to analyze complex data and situations, and provide clear, actionable insights.Strong capability to identify problems, think critically, and implement effective solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.Collaboration and Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in teams or cross-functional environments.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in this field. Meet all Federal, State, and Local Government license/certification requirements.US citizen.Must have a Secret clearance.The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 annually.
