In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to our customers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience with our Android products and services. Join our team and help us shape the future of touch technologySome of your daily duties as an Android Support Engineer will include but are not limited to:Technical Advisor to our Direct Sales and Partner teamsDiagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including software bugs, performance problems, and integration of SDKsHelp guide development of end user support tools such as our OTA server and update policiesProvide support for our Android devices and services, responding to customers and partners technical inquiriesAssist customers with installation, configuration, and usage of Android applicationsCollaborate with senior engineers and development teams to escalate and resolve complex issuesParticipate in the development and maintenance of support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articlesStay up-to-date with the latest Android developments, tools, and best practicesProvide feedback to the product team on customer experiences and potential areas for improvementOur Ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:Strong understanding of Android operating systems and mobile application developmentUnderstanding of ADB interfaceDirect software development is not required, but the ability to understand and modify code is neededStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectivelyExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersCustomer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional supportAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with support ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience with Java or Kotlin programming languagesExperience with Android SDK and development toolsUnderstanding of RESTful APIs and web servicesExperience with 3rd party librariesExperience with bug tracking and version control systemsMicroTouch offers competitive salary and benefits package, great opportunities for professional growth, a collaborative work environment and a great work-life balance.
