We're seeking a Anesthesia Technologist for Emory University Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work and ensuring the safety and care for all patients.
This individual will:
Perform all duties as an Anesthesia Technician I and II, including set up and support of equipment in all anesthetizing locations, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines. Test equipment to ensure that it remains in proper operating condition. Perform lower level troubleshooting and take corrective action to prevent hazardous situations. Ensure the availability of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies by inspecting inventories and initiating purchase requisitions. Respond to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis. Take required precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment. Perform daily apparatus equipment checks. Ability to prepare the anesthesia machine for procedures in the operating room and offsite areas. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred, and three (3) years of work experience as an Anesthesia Technician or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
