Rate: $55 - $60 / hr. w2 We are seeking a Senior Level Java Developer with strong RESTful experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in migrating our services from SOAP to RESTful architecture. This position requires a developer who is adept at working with APIs, API gateways, and microservices, and who can contribute to the modernization of our application infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop and maintain RESTful services and APIs. Participate in the migration of services from SOAP to RESTful architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement web applications in a Java/J2EE environment. Utilize cloud technologies, preferably AWS, for application development and deployment. Integrate vendor solutions and APIs into existing systems. Work with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Node.js. Implement MVC architecture, OOAD, and design patterns. Manage and optimize enterprise database systems, preferably Oracle, using SQL and stored procedures. Utilize command line git and GitHub for version control. Implement and manage containerization using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Ensure container security and orchestration in a cloud environment. Test, debug, and diagnose software issues, developing test cases and plans as needed. Participate in Agile product development using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Qualifications: Strong experience with SOAP/RESTful services, APIs, API gateways, and microservices. Proficiency in Java and related technologies (JPA, MVC frameworks, CSS, JSON/XML, Struts, JQuery, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, HTML). Experience with enterprise database management systems, preferably Oracle. Proficiency in using git and GitHub for version control. Experience with container technologies and CI/CD concepts. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose software bugs and system issues. Experience in developing test cases and plans.
