The Architecture Brand & Communications Manager creates and leads both internal and external focused architecture communications across a variety of platforms.
This position works closely with technical and sales/marketing/business development leaders to identify, qualify, develop, and implement communications and PR content that supports the HNTB brand and identity across the Aviation, Sports, and Transit markets, including social media, conferences, and speaking opportunities, thought-leadership materials, etc.
The Architecture Brand & Communications Manager is responsible for developing a content calendar and works closely with the Architecture Marketing Team, including the Division Sales Officer and the Architecture Business Development Officer, as well as Corporate Communications to coordinate with industry-leading digital and print editorial calendars.
The position reports to the Architecture Marketing Manager.
Essential Functions:
* Develop marketing communications materials in both print and digital format to support architecture programs aligning with HNTB Architecture's voice, brand and identity.
* Maintains and drives Architecture content calendar.
* Writes, edits and provides creative direction on national architecture communication programs.
* Supports virtual and in-person forums and industry events.
* Leads and identifies projects and people to submit and works with teams to develop submittals for national award opportunities.
* Leads and identifies advertising opportunities and works with creative team to develop ads elevating the HNTB Architecture brand.
* Develops and implements training of key SME's and thought leaders in developing PR-related content.
* Works with architecture marketing manager, business development officer and market sector and professional service leaders to identify industry events for sponsorship and presentations.
* Research background information on HNTB projects and business objectives to ensure communications programs, including national collateral, awards and advertising support HNTB's strategic goals.
* Work closely with HNTB's corporate communications group to ensure brand consistency across the entire firm while maximizing the unique brand needs of the architecture practice.
* Collaborates with Corporate Communications on Public Relations opportunities in target market segments.
* Manages and develops architecture-oriented content incorporated into the HNTB website strategy based on the firm's strategic plans.
Works with the Architecture Marketing Manager to develop content that aligns the website with social media strategy and SEO optimization.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Do:
* Strategy Development: Develops and leads the communications strategy that are aligned with HNTB's business goals and support HNTB's brand messages.
* Program Management: Implements programs that are part of HNTB's strategy including working with a team to strategize HNTB's involvement in industry associations, identifies and develops award submittals, manages HNTB's publications, collaborates with team members to develop advertising, presentations, articles, social and web content and video.
* Content Creation: Develops engaging and informative content that is consistent with brand messaging for a variety of communications channels including internal, social and web platforms.
* Event Management: Supports the development and logistics of various events, such as conferences, meetings, open houses, forums and other events.
* Results Reporting: Tracks communication programs effectiveness.
* List Management: Updates and maintain internal and external contact lists.
* Budget Management: Manages and develops communications budget for specific programs.
* Market Research: Researches and implements current industry trends on communication approaches.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
* Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related fields and 8 years corporate communications or agency experience.
* In lieu of education, 12 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
* Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills are a must, as is a thorough knowledge of AP style.
* Able to work collaboratively with those within the communications group as well as other internal clients.
* Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and budgets.
* Must possess a can-do attitude, be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $105,071.01 - $164,341.84.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for Colorado is $100,502.71 - $157,196.54.
