Normal Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; extended hours as needed
Job Summary:  The Assistant Coach aids in the development and overall strategy of the assigned sport. Analyzes and interprets data from the performance system to provide targeted programs to improve the performance of competitive athletes. Evaluates, recruits, instructs, supervises, disciplines, and coaches student-athletes to prepare them to compete successfully against major college competition.
Additional Department Summary:  The Assistant Coach for Strength and Conditioning develops and manages individual and group strength training programs for assigned student athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. Provides training, conditioning, instruction, and supervision for assigned sport(s) to prepare student athletes to compete at the highest level. Collects data using system specifics to the student-athlete to assist staff in determining how to improve sporting performance. Collects internal and external load metrics using current available technologies. Analyzes and interprets data from the performance system to provide targeted programs to improve the performance of competitive athletes.
Evaluates, recruits, trains, conditions, instructs, supervises, disciplines, and coaches student-athletes to prepare them to compete successfully against major college competition in a quality program. Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach that are germane to the Employee's position and the University's mission. Performs other general duties as set out in the Employee's Contract, including duties to understand and comply with all Governing Athletic Rules and University Rules. Assists with budgeting, scheduling, travel and hotel logistics, and booking practice courts. Maintains equipment inventory and ordering. Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of (2) years of experience in the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for men and/or women. Must be NSCA and/or CSCCa Certified.
