Job Functions Overall support for all stages of Solar-DG and or Battery Storage projects. Support and develop knowledge base in reviewing project schedules, cost estimates, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, and subcontract documents. Support and develop knowledge base in supervising project implementation to ensure safety, cost, time, quality and performance objectives are achieved. Support and develop knowledge base through engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, commissioning and testing and project turnover to O&M. Support and develop knowledge base regarding responsibility and accountability for controlling project scope, schedule and budget. Understanding of basic principles of project management and project controls in an engineering and construction environment. Understanding of basic principles regarding project budgets/financials. Understanding of basic principles regarding engineering and construction methodology and the associated financial aspects Understanding of basic principles regarding cost estimating, scheduling, and budget projections Physical & Environmental Requirements Requires time at various projects locations. Requires frequent (over 25% at times) overnight travel, may include auto, air, rail travel. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Work independently and with people, speaking in front of groups and with individuals, customers, management, engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers, etc. Work both indoors and outdoors, in hot or cold conditions, and around construction project sites. Technical/Job Skills Qualifications The candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications and have demonstrated the following technical or job skills: Undergraduate four-year degree in technical area (project management, engineering, technology, sciences, financial or mathematics), or equivalent work experience Skills to utilize MS Excel, Word, Power Point Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to write reports and business correspondence. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Performance Skills Professional attitude and presentation while representing the company. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and assist in managing stakeholder expectations. Excellent planning, organizational and risk management skills. Ability to use software for project scheduling and tracking and other PC software applications commonly used for project management.
