WHERE YOU WILL WORK The Bain Legal team is a global group of experienced lawyers who work closely together to support a global consulting firm across 65 cities in 40 countries.
Bain is a deeply client-focused organization, and our team is equally focused on maintaining the highest possible client-service standards with our own internal clients.
This attorney will be a member of the Americas Regional Legal team and will primarily provide support to Bain's Legal Group with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal contracts, and can be based in any of our offices located in Atlanta, Boston, or Dallas.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Contract Support You will review, draft, and negotiate legal contracts including:consulting engagement agreementsconfidentiality agreementsvendor and independent contractor agreementsother types of agreementsYou will communicate your assessment of the legal issues in an agreement to internal clients and/or one or more of the senior lawyers on Bain's legal team in a clear and concise manner.You will coordinate review and comment by other stakeholders.You will review and prepare RFP responses.You will manage and interact with various systems and software tools that are used in the contracting process, e.g.
automated contract review tools and contract management systems.You will multi-task multiple contracts and matters with high efficiency.General Legal Support You will advise consulting staff on applicable Bain professional standards policies.You will deliver internal training as opportunities permit.You will support other members of Bain's legal team on special projects.You will contribute to Bain Legal intellectual property including:new formsprocess guidance documents; training decksABOUT YOU A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and bar admission, with 2+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of business contracts in a law firm or in-house setting.
Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly-developed organizational skills, articulate, detail-oriented, and hard-working.Ability to work independently, but within a team-focused environment.Experience in servicing global clients is a plus.Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are also a plus.
