Position Summary
TheAssociateDirector,IRA and drugpricingwilllead andparticipate in the development and execution of comprehensiveU.S Policy & Government Affairs (USPGA) strategies to shape publicpolicy, legislative, and regulatory environments that are aligned with BMS prioritiesspecifically pertaining to drug pricing policy and legislation(e.g. IRA, MFN, International reference pricing)andbroader policies aligned with BMS goals and priorities. Will provide support to theDirector who will serve as the lead liaison with relevant HHS Agencies, WH (DHHS: CMS, HRSA, ASPE, ASL, etc.)leadership, and staff responsible for payment, coverage, and reimbursement policy issues.

Key Responsibilities
Participatesandcoordinatesdevelopmentof comprehensiveUSPGA strategies that employ all relevantgovernment affairs tools, including lobbying, third-party and think tank engagement, public policydevelopment, and public affairs.

Collaborate with USPGA and cross functional partners (including Global USPGA) to develop, prioritize andimplement strategic business and advocacy strategies to address evolving policy and payment changeswith an acute focus on IRA and drug pricing policies.

Remain informed and educate internal stakeholders on evolving Healthcare policy, reimbursement and channelrequirements and updates, including Medicare Part A, B, C and D, Medicaid, 340B, individual market/healthexchange plan policies.

Assistinmonitoringthe regulatory landscape,identify, and respond to regulatory policies proposed byfederal/state government and/or commercial payers - including rules and guidance from the Centers forMedicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other Ex. Branch Agencies

Requiresthe integration of political, policy and government affairsexpertisetodevelop and executeeffectivestrategiesaligned with business goals and priorities..

Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have a minimumof5-8yearsof experience in government, government affairs, orpolicy. Direct experience working withExecutiveBranch of Government strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in related field such as public affairs, health care policy, political science, publicadministration, public policy, economics, or related fieldrequired.Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry or public health is preferred.

Strong preferencefor experience ingovernment payers,legislative branches ofgovernment, key think tanks, or Government entity such asMedPAC,MedCAC.

and solid understanding of the current U.S. healthcare landscape including how the Medicare/Medicaid programsoperate.
Demonstratedstrong interpersonal skills including theability toarticulate BMS positions and interest withinternal and external partners(e.g.,corporate headquarters, trade associations,policymakers and stakeholdersandorganizations)and other parties asrequired.

Candidate must work well in a team environment and enjoy working in a collegial, yet highly demandingculture. Mustdemonstratestrong interpersonal skillsbeable to work collaboratively with business leaders andother internal and external stakeholders.

Domestic travelrequired(up to 20%)
