The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a passionate, high-energy, and dynamic Associate Director, People, Culture & Equity Communication and Change Management professional. This job reports to the Managing Director in the Office of the Chief People, Culture & Equity Officer (OCPCEO) department of PPFA. The People, Culture, and Equity (PCE) division is a critical partner in supporting PPFA in the achievement of its mission to deliver care, no matter what, by creating a work climate that is a great place to work for all where PPFA employees and ways of working are an unbeatable strategic advantage. Purpose: The Associate Director provides change management, project management, and communications support in the OCPCEO. They are responsible for coordinating project portfolios from background research, metrics monitoring, and reporting against objectives to support the success of the team and our division. They design projects which adapt existing policies/strategies to specific operational contexts. This role tailors approaches for various special projects reflecting organizational priorities, assessment of resources, and responsiveness to changing client needs and operational changes. These programs and projects include those in support of division-wide and organization-facing initiatives. Delivery: ? Provide change management, project management, and communications support for externally-facing projects and initiatives. ? Optimize approaches and build consistency in program outputs, implementation and assessment while introducing adaptive measures that support program delivery. ? Devise program/service design to special PCE projects to address emerging needs and sustain program relevance. ? Sustain program delivery against established cycles/schedules, while incorporating new policies and procedures and evolving client needs. ? Devise tools and processes to evolve program quality and responsiveness of special projects to evolving client needs and contexts. ? Develop and manage the approach for the full life cycle of special projects (e.g. project initiation, design, execution, and completion), and maintain project management methodologies, standards and tools, ensuring deadlines and desired impacts are met; identify and mitigate risks, escalating appropriately. ? Act as an advisor on processes and tools needed to drive successful launch and execution of all elements under the PCE division. ? Collaborate with the CPCEO and Managing Director on projects and programs to deliver them to successful completion within budget and on time. ? Support the various PCE teams offering guidance and insight to ensure program quality and effectiveness. ? Manage communications for PCE to external stakeholders. ? Hold confidential information, as needed. ? Other duties as assigned. Engagement: Advise managers and team members on requirements and expectations of project design adaptations, ensuring alignment of inputs and outcomes. ? Engage stakeholders across all levels of PPFA National Office on identifying deliverables, timeframes, and expectations regarding service delivery. ? Make stakeholders aware of opportunities/challenges emerging in PCE program/service areas, persuading clients and external collaborators on project design approach ensuring practicality of delivery methods and measurability of outcomes. ? Serve as one of the main points of contact between national office and external stakeholders, support internal and external communications, and provide appropriate direction, information, assistance and follow-up across departments, affiliates and partners as needed. ? Manage and oversee work with external partners and vendors, including the initiation and execution of any related contracts. ? Manage PCE policies and programs to deliver quality work that is relevant and integrated to the work of colleagues and clients. ? Collaborate with PCE subject matter experts and the CPCEO in assessing the development and execution of programs relevant to the PCE strategic goals. ? Secure collaboration with PCE colleagues, client stakeholders and, when necessary, external partners to assess the needs of projects, programs or initiatives that are included in the PCE portfolio. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): ? A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required, preferably in growing and dynamic organizations, delivering organization-wide PCE programs in organization development, compensation, talent management, or program management. ? An undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management or Organization Development is preferred. ? Proven track record of ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline at the staff, board, and/or affiliate levels with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a highly-matrixed environment ? Extremely organized, process-oriented, self-starter who works well in a fast-paced environment ? Ability to proactively develop solutions to problems and challenges in project management and knowledge of when to ask for help and support. ? Strong oral and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to work effectively across difference, soliciting feedback and input from significant stakeholder groups. ? Strong facilitation skills. ? Willingness to get involved and pitch in with what needs to be done to meet the client's needs. ? Comfortable with rapid change and uncertainty; comfortable operating in an environment that can pivot as needed in response to internal and external priorities ? Gets energy from operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment; a nimble and flexible style ? Ability to assist with multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment ? High proficiency in Google products ? Location:This role is a hybrid position based in either of PPFA's offices in New York City or Washington, DC. Staff are required to work at least the minimum number of days on-site as assigned. When opting not to work on site, staff are required to have reliable WiFi and the space and equipment to complete their work. $120,000 - $125,000 a year
