What you will do The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational and technical aspects of GEP's procurement platform.
This role focuses on enhancing product quality, managing the sprint backlog, ensuring efficient quarterly and sprint planning, and coordinating closely with engineering teams to maintain quality and scalability.
You will act as the liaison between Product, Engineering, and Release Management teams to ensure that the development process adheres to high standards of performance, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Sprint and Release Management: Lead the sprint backlog process, ensuring that tasks are well-defined and prioritized according to business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, QA, etc.)
to ensure the timely and quality delivery of product features. Ensure effective quarterly and sprint planning cycles, tracking sprint health, velocity, and overall project quality metrics. Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to define product requirements, ensuring they align with the overall product roadmap and customer needs. Implement and maintain Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) controls, ensuring processes are adhered to for high-quality releases. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, configurability, and operational efficiencies. Technical Leadership: Act as a key point of contact for technical issues related to product functionality, performance, and quality. Facilitate discussions between technical teams to resolve challenges, optimize product architecture, and improve scalability. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Serve as the primary liaison between Product, Engineering, and Release Management teams to ensure that all parties are aligned on product objectives and deliverables. Communicate product updates, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders across the organization. What you should bring Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the software or tech sector. Strong background in procurement platforms, enterprise software, or SaaS products. Proven track record of managing sprints and ensuring successful product releases. Skills: Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Proficiency in working with engineering teams and translating business needs into technical requirements. Experience in managing operational quality, backlog prioritization, and sprint health metrics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level SaaS solutions. Understanding of SDLC controls and product configurability best practices. Knowledge of procurement platforms, AI, and supply chain solutions is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
