NGMS in Sykesville, MD is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer to be responsible for writing control loops, device drivers, middleware, and application development. The work will involve analysis, design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of software and drivers in C/C++. This person will interface with systems and hardware engineering to develop flow down software requirements and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline.
A minimum of 3 months of relevant software engineering experience.
Proficiency in C/C++
Knowledge of real time processing including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance is preferred.
Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking, and build release practices is preferred.
Experience with Wind River's VxWorks operating system is a plus.
