Close Date: Job Summary: The Department of World Languages & Cultures (WLC) at the University of Utah invites applications for a part-time Associate Instructor position in Japanese beginning August 21, 2023.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach either one or two Japanese courses during both the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters, depending on program needs, and will coordinate teaching with other Japanese teachers in the WLC department. Ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Japanese Pedagogy, Japanese Linguistics, or a related field.Native or near-native level of Japanese. Fluency in English.Experience teaching lower-level Japanese language courses.Preferences: Experience teaching online.Special Instructions: Complete applications include a letter of application, a CV, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (such as student teaching evaluations, peer reviews, and/or a teaching video).
