Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Data and AI Officer, bridges the gap between innovative research and practical healthcare applications with the aim of accelerating the delivery of precision care for all patients. Will play a crucial role in transforming Emory into a leader in precision healthcare, driving innovations that enhance patient care, reduce costs, and improve health outcomes. Works to integrate emerging, disruptive and transformational technologies such as artificial intelligence and genomic science to enhance patient care, improve health outcomes and promote health equity; identifies and eliminates bottlenecks, whether these stem from technical challenges, socioeconomic disparities, legal/regulatory barriers, or socio-cultural conventions. Develops and executes on strategies to integrate AI and precision medicine into clinical practice. Collaborates with academic and healthcare leaders as well as faculty and students to identify and prioritize research that can be rapidly translated into clinical settings. Deploys AI tools and precision medicine technologies within Emory Healthcare and partner institutions. Leads multidisciplinary teams to develop precision solutions for diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. Secures funding for translational research projects through grants and partnerships with industry stakeholders. Promotes the development of accessible, cost-effective AI tools tailored to diverse patient populations. Works with clinicians to accelerate the adoption of AI and precision medicine into routine clinical workflows. Ensures the continuous evaluation and improvement of precision tools based on clinical feedback and patient outcomes. Facilitates clinical trials and studies to validate the effectiveness of AI-driven interventions. Develops training programs and curricula for students, faculty and healthcare professionals on the development and use of AI, genomic engineering and precision medicine. Develops training programs on the ethical and responsible use of AI in research, education, healthcare and industry, addressing potential biases and promoting equity. Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the organization. Builds strong relationships with academic researchers, healthcare providers, and industry partners. Engages with the community to ensure that advancements in AI and precision medicine are communicated effectively and inclusively. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A PhD and experience to integrate AI and medicine. Record of accomplishment in leading translational research and developing AI solutions in healthcare. Strong understanding of precision medicine, including genetic and molecular diagnostics. Commitment to promoting health equity and addressing disparities in healthcare. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
