Primary internal compliance auditor for the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Conduct financial, operational, and/or compliance type audits for an agency.• Develop audit project program and/or testing procedures.• Prepare complex audit reports and follow up on corrective action.• Perform financial audits by examining fiscal documents to validate information reported.• Perform operational audits to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of processes.• Perform compliance audits to identify non-compliance with laws, regulations, etc.• Use sampling techniques during audits as needed.• Utilize data processing information systems and other tools for auditing.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours in accounting, auditing, business, etc.• 2 years of professional-level experience in accounting, financial auditing, etc.• CPA, CFE, or CIA certification can substitute for degree and coursework.• Master's degree in relevant field can substitute for coursework and experience.
