Position : Automation Engineer Location : New Berlin WI (Onsite) Experience Level : Midsenior Industry : Industrial Manufacturing / Cranes Experience required: 0 years Overview : The Automation Engineer will support EngineeredtoOrder (ETO) and Modernization teams to deliver customized software and hardware solutions. This role includes commissioning troubleshooting and software updates to ensure equipment aligns with customer expectations. Responsibilities : Customize crane control systems using preexisting software modules. Support factory acceptance commissioning and ongoing lifecycle management of material handling equipment. Modify PLC software to align with customer specifications. Monitor and replace obsolete automation equipment. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve control and software issues. Travel to customer sites for onsite troubleshooting as required. Qualifications : Bachelor s degree in Software Electrical or Automation Engineering. Some experience in the manufacturing industry particularly with Siemens PLC and HMI programming. Familiarity with variable frequency drives control systems NEC electrical codes and OSHA safety requirements. Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
