General Summary
The Sever is responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Personally welcome and greet all customers Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
Be aware of dietary needs Be able to make a recommendation to a customer, up-sell food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques Answer questions regarding food regions and preparation, describe in detail taste and textures Answer questions regarding alcohol list, food and other beverages in addition to the hotels other services Be sure the quality and appearance of the food you serve meets hotel's standards.

Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations Deliver food and bar items to customers in a timely manner Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, and replenishing utensils and glasses Perform side work at the end of shift and during shift as required, including but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc Monitor and observe customer dining experience.
Ensure they are satisfied and respond promptly and courteously to all requests Prepare final bill, present check to customer, accept payment, process credit card or room charge and make any changes as necessary Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant/bar as directed by your immediate Supervisor Wash dishes as assigned by Supervisor or during slow periods Keep restrooms clean and stocked with supplies Advise Supervisors of needed product as they get low as necessary Clean and organize all serving stations.

Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times Properly open and pour wine at the table Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc.
from tables at the conclusion of the meal Ensure complete guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.

Maintain area in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition at all times.

Adhere to proper uniform and groomed appearance per brand and company standards Perform additional assignments as required Perform additional assignments as required Job Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred Must obtain any and all government, company, and brand required food service specific license/certification(s) Must be able to push, pull, move, lift, and/or carry minimum of 50lbs.
