Behavior Analyst Job Title: Behavior Analyst (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Department/Function: ABA Individual Services Reports to: Clinical Director/Operations Director FLSA Classification: Full-time/Exempt Location: Office, Home, School, Community Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule. The BA reports directly to the Clinical Director of ABA Services. The BHT-ABA/RBTs are assigned to the BA caseload and will directly report to the BA of ABA services. Summary/Objective BA is responsible for monitoring the comprehensive/focused behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays in communication skills, social skills, adaptive living skills, toleration skills, self-regulation skills, behavior reduction, and fine motor/gross motor. The BA is ultimately responsible for supervision of ABA services to the children and families, as well as accurate record keeping of case notes and excellent communication. The BA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director of ABA Services. Essential Job Duties: Provide supervision to behavior technicians BC-ABAs, BCaBAs, BHT-ABAs. Supervision includes observing, modeling, coaching, taking data, providing feedback and making recommendations in accordance with the BACB guidelines Work collaboratively with building staff to promote positive client behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support staff in their implementation of positive support. Conduct competencies on each behavior technician within the first 30 days of working with the client and monthly thereafter. Conduct regular parent training sessions with parents/caregivers/guardians on specific goals and taking appropriate data Engage parents in the process of participating in creating behavior programs for clients in order to empower parents by providing them with skills and techniques to support the positive behavior development of their child. Develop materials and provide resources for and provide professional development to administrators, educators, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians. Attend IEP, eligibility, or other meetings as necessary and provide related behavioral information. Conduct assessments and reassessments including skills assessments and FBA in accordance with insurance policies and regulations Conducts functional behavior assessments, accurately identifying the function of challenging behavior and socially valid, pivotal behaviors to target. Develops treatment plans that recommend individualized, evidence-based behavioral strategies in a format accessible to staff, family members, other professionals. Conduct treatment planning sessions to monitor progress, analyze data, research evidence-based procedures and other appropriate activities Coordinate care with primary care physicians, other professionals at least one time per authorization Uphold the company mission and core values at all times Provide treatment that is in accordance with BACB's guidelines, policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines set forth by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC Maintain a professional relationship with clients and providers Attend and participate in meetings and professional development activities specified by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC Complete session notes in accordance with insurance guidelines Submit all paperwork by deadlines as specified by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC Manage own schedule and caseload Maintain the confidentiality of information including client records (HIPAA laws), personnel information and other relevant issues Communication regularly with Clinical Director regarding client's progress, provider progress, and pertinent issues Perform other duties as requested. Effective behavior-analytic supervision includes: Supervises cases with appropriate frequency Supervision Summary Sheets completed Develops client goals Align with Assessment data Match items in Documented Reports Reviews data and monitors client progress weekly Graphs up to date Targets/goals updated within a week of mastery Behavioral approach to intervention ABC Data for all problem behavior identified for reduction Functions identified Replacement behaviors identified Makes Program Updates as needed Goals added and removed as data and ongoing assessment indicates Creates appropriate data sheets Dimension being tracked is significant Type of data collection is feasible for employees Data is a reliable measure IOA done at onset of program to increase validity of data Provides Parent / guardian (s) training Goals for Parent / guardian (s) identified and quantified Use Behavioral Skills Training protocol Written feedback notes Conducts developmental assessments At minimum the frequency required by case insurance Progress reports updated to reflect most current assessment and goal information Conducts monthly team meetings with all employee and Parent / guardian (s) present Review current status of programs Monitor employee competencies Completes Employee Integrity Checklists Other treatment integrity measures Provide training to employees to promote development Assesses employee skills and uses BST to train employees Seeks supervision and participates in professional development Interactions with co-workers are professional and productive Focus is on objective observations, identification of problem, positive actions to take to resolve issues Maintains professional and respectful boundaries in conversations. Follows complaint policies when necessary Development of performance expectations Observation, behavioral skills training, and delivery of performance feedback Modeling technical, professional, and ethical behavior Guiding behavioral case conceptualization, problem-solving, and decision-making repertoires Review of written materials (e.g., behavior programs, datasheets, reports) Minimum Qualifications: Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (in good standing with the BACB) or other graduate level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the NCCA or the ANSI. Licensed in the commonwealth as a phycologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner, or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services Must pass background check upon hire and yearly thereafter as a condition of employment 3+ years' experience working with children with developmental disabilities Excellent communication skills Work Authorization/Security Clearance Criminal State Clearance FBI Clearance Child Abuse Clearance Driving Record NSOR Attestation PA Kept kids Safe Additional functions: Technical: Able to work with technology systems. Able to utilize program management system (Theralytics) Train staff on tablet when required Interpersonal: The candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with staff, clients, and parents. Must be able to model and implement behavior strategies to support staff and clients struggling with behavior. Must exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people. Must have strong organizational skills. Must be able to maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and parents. Supervisory Responsibility This position is directly responsible for leading management and Supervisors and indirectly responsible for all employees within the company. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time. Ability to see for purposes of reading laws and codes, rules and policies, and other printed matter and observing students. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal speech levels, in the English language. Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation.
