The ideal candidate will have experience managing various benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and 401(k) plan. This position will oversee the entire open enrollment process while also organizing wellness program initiatives designed to enhance the overall health of the workforce. In addition to benefits, this position will be responsible for weekly payroll processing. Working alongside the Total Rewards Director, you must have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced work environment. This position will work on-site.
\n Essential Functions and Duties:Work directly with employees to answer questions regarding their benefits and total rewardsSupport the team with the administration of open enrollment (annually in January), wellness fairs, and other benefit-related eventsOpen enrollment meeting, termination, and changes in benefits portal for participants in all benefit plansMonitor staff members' eligibility for benefits programs, particularly as employment status changesProcess, document, review, and qualify leaves of absence requests company-wide (medical, work-related, personal)Serve as liaison between HR/payroll and third-party administrators for processing of disability requestsFunction as liaison with a third-party vendor for COBRA and mandatory notificationsStays abreast of changes in existing laws, rules, regulations, and best practices applicable to employee benefits and leaveManage and facilitate FMLA & NON-FMLA, as well as other leaves as applicable to the company policy and relevant lawsReview, edit, and approve employees' timekeeping through ADP before processing payrollFollow up with employees/managers for missed punches to ensure appropriate allocation of laborGather and enter payroll data and timesheets promptly which will be reported to the Payroll TeamWork with company database systems to prepare and submit weekly payroll using ADP Workforce NowResearch discrepancies, audit, and work with project teams to resolve issues before payrollReceive, enter, answer, and maintain garnishments by federal and state requirements Qualifications:1-2 years of related benefits experienceProven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of employee benefits and lawsOutstanding knowledge of MS Office and Google WorkspacePrior administrative experience is strongly preferredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent, 3+ years experience in an office environment, HR and/or benefits administration Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work independently under general direction.Proficient knowledge of Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.Ability to maintain confidential information.Process and detail-oriented; great team player.Great Multi-tasking abilities.Ability to work with diverse and strong personalities to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
