The BIM Model Manager lives in the design technology arm of the practice leadership of Gresham Smith.This group advises the practice leaders on the capabilities needed to advance their agenda for the practice.Develops, implements, and operates systems in support of our professional design and production services.
This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and an understanding of customer service.
This position will provide support for the members of our firm who produce our product and will strive for excellence in the customer deliverables and support of our staff.
Location:We are open to having the successful candidate reside in any of our office locations and offer a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities: Provide BIM/REVIT project kick-off facilitation and information.Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent, best practice-driven results.Develop BIM Project execution plans, and facilitate their implementation on projects.Manage and update BIM project documents.Support linked views and other in multiple models situations.Perform routine, periodic model management administration and maintenance.Over-the-shoulder training, development, and shadowing of staff.Content Creation: Develop Families such as parametric, formula, nested, and type catalogs.Set up and manage Clash Detection models on projects working with design consultants to resolve issues.Facilitate meetings and efforts to resolve clash issues.Duties will include direct contact with the employer's clients and other consultants assisting with communication and helping to set expectations.Coordinate and manage the delivery of electronic information such as deliverables to clients and consultants.Develop, document, and implement project delivery methods for project deliverables based on Gresham Smith policies and industry best practices. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Architecture or Engineering; Bachelor's degree is preferred.Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience required using Autodesk Revit software; Creating BIM-related parametric content and in-depth knowledge of templates.Knowledge of standard operations, policies, and procedures of a Firm within the A/E industry.Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to business problems.Extensive knowledge of CADD/BIM Technologies as well as other analytical and design software applications.In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.Advanced communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Ease with delivering formal presentations.
Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with a variety of personalities and communication styles.
