Job Summary Our client is currently seeking for a Blaster/Painter whose role include painting applicactions, preparation of paint equipment, and assist plant housekeeping.
Job Description Painting applications, duties include, but are not limited to: Preparation of paint equipment and paint Preparation of equipment surfaces to be painted by means of sandblasting, hand sanding, and taping, pneumatic hand operated sanders or grinding apparatus Movement of material and equipment to staging areas as needed using an overhead crane. Apply primer and paint per specs All employees are required to assist in plant housekeeping. Including, but not limited to - sweeping, emptying trash barrels, proper storage of chemicals, etc.
Skills Required Pregvious sandblast experience Previous work experience using 2-part epoxy paint Must be willing to work in an on-the-job-training status for the first two to three weeks of employment Must be able to work in a non-controlled climate - i.e. no air conditioning in the plant
Education/Training/Certifications High school diploma or GED Additional Requirements Must follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur. Schedule: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am - Training will be conducted on the day shift and then move to the night shift once able to work independently - weekly OT required (6 days per week) Pay Rate/Salary $18.00 - $18.50/hr depending on experience.
