A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Headway ABA plays a pivotal role in creating and implementing individualized ABA therapy plans for children with autism and other developmental disorders. BCBAs are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and adjusting intervention strategies, and ensuring the highest standard of care through continuous supervision and collaboration. The BCBA will work with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure they are properly trained and capable of delivering effective therapy to clients. This role demands a strong dedication to improving the lives of children and their families, using data-driven approaches and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to identify behavioral challenges and skill deficits.Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles, targeting behavior reduction, skill acquisition, and adaptive behaviors.Provide supervision, guidance, and training to RBTs and other clinical staff, ensuring proper implementation of ABA strategies.Conduct regular one-on-one and group supervision sessions to ensure staff competency.Work closely with families and caregivers, offering training and support to promote consistency of treatment across home and school environments.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school staff, to create integrated care plans.Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of interventions, making data-driven modifications to ensure progress.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, adhering to ethical and regulatory guidelines.Participate in team meetings, clinical reviews, and ongoing professional development activities.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations, maintaining client confidentiality at all times.Conduct periodic program evaluations and adjustments to ensure each child reaches their maximum potential. Qualifications: Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required, with an active license in good standing in North Carolina.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ABA therapy, particularly with children on the autism spectrum or those with developmental and mental health challenges.Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), creating Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and overseeing treatment plans.Experience supervising and training RBTs or other ABA therapy staff.Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and apply data to inform treatment decisions.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for tracking progress and compliance with documentation.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals.Commitment to continuing education, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in ABA therapy.Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and staff members simultaneously.Ability to adapt to changing client needs, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving in treatment delivery.
