POSITION TITLE:

Irenaeus Parish Bookkeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:
St.
Irenaeus Parish is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to work with the business manager to maintain accurate financial records and provide necessary financial reports.
This position is also responsible for payroll processing and administration, assisting with the budget preparation, and any other assigned tasks.

HOURS:
This is a part-time (12-15 hours a week), non-exempt position.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Post all deposits. Process check requests/pay invoices. Record journal entries. Account balancing. Complete monthly bank reconciliation. Keep organized filing system. Process the bi-weekly payroll and update information in the pay system. 1099 processing. Work with Business Manager to prepare budget and year-end reports submitted to the Archdiocese of Detroit. Other duties as assigned. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Direct report to the Business Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three or more years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software applications. Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities in a timely manner. Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong integrity and honesty with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Experience working at a Catholic parish a plus. Must complete the Archdiocesan Protecting God's Children training and pass a background check.
