The Branch Manager is responsible for all aspects of branch performance, including attaining sales goals, managing member satisfaction, employee coaching, risk management, operational soundness, and community engagement. The Branch Manager focuses on daily administration and operation of the branch, security, and safety in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations. The Branch Manager supports the vision of the organization, advances brand awareness and recognition, through a member, employee, and community centric approach to our Core Values.
Role and Responsibilities:
Leads branch team to achieve or exceed branch Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by maintaining high standards of member service and integrating all corporate strategies.
Identifies opportunities and drives strategy to improve performance and profitability.
Oversees, plans, organizes, and directs the daily activities of the branch and ensures compliance, safety and security with Credit Union guidelines and policies.
Manages direct reports to maximize productivity and efficiency in performance by coaching, developing, and motivating all team members.
Provides consistent and timely coaching and guidance to team members to assist with strengthening their product knowledge and identifying customer needs.
Partners with HR in the selection and hiring of new team members.
Works with cross-functional partners to develop member promotions to increase membership.
Drives brand awareness and recognition by partnering with the Business Development area and participating in community events, as available, to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
Prepares assigned management reports, performs periodic audits on assigned work, cash drawers, and vaults, and coordinates scheduling, team meetings and conducts required security meetings with team to ensure compliance.
Develops and implements annual department budget; reviews monthly to analyze variances and assures expenditures remain within limits.
Knowledgeable of all products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations of the Credit Union and has an overall understanding of the duties and responsibilities of each member of the branch staff.
Familiar with performing the personal service counselor responsibilities as needed due to Branch traffic and volume.
Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Ensures compliance of Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act, SAFE Act and other applicable regulations and laws. Proactively protects the Credit Union from fraud/loss.
Completes all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years of experience working in the financial services industry or similar position required.
3+ years of leadership experience required.
Strong knowledge of the retail banking industry and bank operations.
Advanced knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues.
Ability to evaluate and resolve problems and issues with minimal guidance.
Excellent sales ability including cross-selling and referral skills.
Proven success in retail sales environment.
Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business.
Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals.
Ability to cultivate relationships across diverse communities.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
Environmental or Atmospheric Conditions:
May work at multiple branches based on needs; work schedule may differ from week to week in terms of days worked and hours.

Ability to work at a computer in a stationary manner up to 8 hours daily.
