We are looking for a strong leader to be the Branch Manager of our Columbus- Roberts location to help take us to the next level. Carrying siding and window knowledge is a plus! The Branch Manager supervises all team members serving in sales and operations. This position also carries out leadership supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides leadership and strategic focus through motivation, knowledge of building materials, and mentoring team members through coaching and training opportunities. Creates a positive culture, provides sales support, drives profit, and manages daily operations of the branch.Manages all sales activities within the office and is accountable for the financial results and conditions of the branch.Develops relationships with members and business partners in the community to drive additional sales.Ensures a product quality control program is in place and enforces all practices and procedures for maintaining quality standards, minimizing damage, and eliminating waste.Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings with operations staff to review progress in following pre-set action plans and meeting the pre-set goals and objectives of the Branch.Implements and enforces company policies and established procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.Manages the performance evaluation process to ensure that all personnel under his or her control have had performance evaluations in accordance with the established scheduled intervals.Displays original thinking and creativity. Meets challenges with resourcefulness. Generates suggestions for improving work or process. Presents ideas and information that gain attention.Creates and provides a safe, harassment-free work environment that makes Mueller Roofing Distributors a fun and positive place to work. Gives praise and recognition when and where it is due.Communicates change effectively and prepares and supports those affected by change. Develops workable implementation plans allowing parties to give input.Develops a sense of team among all employees and prepares them for future advancement opportunities.Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or at least five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Requires knowledge of company's Cloudsuite software applications and MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).Knowledge of DOT Regulations.2+ years of leadership experience in sales and operations.Knowledge of windows and siding is a plus!Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours and days may be warranted due to business needs.
Travel While the Branch Manager primarily works out of the local branch, he/she will travel to branches, customers, and events as needed.
