*Business Analyst *
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will provide critical analysis and assisting in the development of asset management plans, policies, and procedures. The position involves creating presentations, talking points, and documents for external workshops on key initiatives, while also supporting day-to-day operations through data analysis, business requirements documentation, and change management activities. Additionally, the role provides direct support to managers and supervisors within the asset management and project management teams. Pay Range : $45.00 – 51.00, DOE
Location: *Vancouver, Washington – *LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY *– 3-days per 2-week pay period (Subject to change)
*Key Responsibilities for Business Analyst:
* Support stakeholders in gathering and analyzing information using standard tools to clarify business operations, document current and future states, and evaluate solution alternatives.
* Serve as the project point-of-contact for process improvement and data analysis initiatives; provide input and support implementation of approved process changes.
* Facilitate requirements workshops, analyze current state processes, design future states, and present findings to leadership.
* Develop visual artifacts (e.g., process flow diagrams) to support analysis and decision-making.
* Assess business process changes and recommend change management strategies.
* Produce key deliverables, such as requirements, project plans, and change management documents for review.
* Resolve conflicting priorities, facilitate consensus among stakeholders, and communicate findings on process assessments.
* Analyze data, interpret modeling results, and propose alternatives.
* Plan and facilitate prototyping and requirements meetings, conduct fit-gap analysis, and document functional designs.
* Maintain effective client relationships, support scope changes, and draft project documentation to ensure process repeatability and business continuity.
* Work with external consultants and internal teams to support strategic efforts, including budget-related analysis and project management assistance.
* Ensure records and documents are maintained in accordance with compliance requirements, and share them only with authorized personnel.
Requirements for Business Analyst: *
* A degree in business administration, accounting, business management, engineering studies or closely related technical field is preferred.
* With an applicable Bachelor degree, 5 years of experience is required
* With an applicable Associate degree, 7+ years of experience is required
* Without an applicable degree, 9+ years of experience is required
* Demonstrated analytical, modeling, and process management expertise.
* Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts is required.
* Experience with project management, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle is required.
* Understanding of how people go through a change and the change process, including familiarity with change management toolkits.
* Skilled in the definition and development of operational governance models to enable programmatic change.
* Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
* Energy/utility industry experience is preferred.
* Experience with Microsoft Visio, and SharePoint is preferred.
* Ability to build credibility and trust among key project stakeholders.
* Strong technical writing skills and the ability to present information in various forms such as textual, graphical, and statistical.
* Skill in data analysis and developing associated reports and presentation materials.
* Skill in modeling business process requirements, verification of deliverables.
