We are seeking a strategic leader to serve as the Business Development Director, Senior Vice President of Transpacific.
This role will oversee all operations, sales, and strategic initiatives related to the Transpacific trade lanes, ensuring the company achieves its goals for growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies for the Transpacific trade lanes to maximize profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.Stay updated of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to anticipate challenges and opportunities.Oversee the end-to-end freight forwarding operations across Transpacific trade lanes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes and streamline operations.Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strategic partnerships.Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.Monitor profitability and take corrective actions to meet or exceed financial targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure the company is positioned as a preferred partner.Educational background / Work experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics management, supply chain management, or a related field.
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a proven track record of success in regional or divisional management roles.Skills & Competencies Deep knowledge of freight forwarding, warehousing, and global logistics operations.Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and carrier relations.Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and achieving financial targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Analytical mindset with expertise in data-driven decision-making.Willingness to travel within the region.Preferred Qualifications Experience in managing multi-site operations within the transportation and logistics industry.Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards in transportation and logistics.Language skills Fluent in English (oral and written)Computer Literacy Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant software applications.At Will Employment DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $138,500 - $208,000/ Annual.
Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
