The Business Development Manager creates long-term value and relationships for Clarion.
You are creative, likeable and passionate about all aspects of sales, marketing, and advertising.
You are at ease creating and improving existing relationships with customers, thus elevating Clarion's access and prestige within the construction market.
You are a team player, executing Clarion's focused sales & business development plans and are comfortable providing input and opinions for same.
The Business Development Manager reports directly to Clarion's Vice President- Strategy & works collaboratively with Marketing, Estimating, Clarion leadership, and customers.
How you will contribute to our team: ·        Overall Business Development:   You contribute to the overall sales and marketing processes at Clarion.
You report sales metrics to leadership and teams.
You assist in developing and implementing effective marketing, advertising and promotional strategies.
You are a master at networking and researching to help create and develop new client relationships.
You coach and mentor others to do the same.
You meet regularly with your manager and Estimating as directed to establish BD goals for all.
You are comfortable analyzing analytics to assist with providing recommendations for future marketing and sales efforts. ·        Customer Experience: You are a key player in each customers' experience at Clarion and it's your responsibility to help the Clarion team ensure we more than meet their expectations.
You prepare and assist with client closeout procedure, packages and gifts, thus creating their last experience for that project.
You know how to remove barriers to ensure the customer can give honest and open feedback.
·        Marketing & Advertising:   You contribute to Clarion's online presence by adding to social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and contributing to affiliated associations.
You understand how philanthropy is a marketing tool and participate in opportunities to work side by side with clients.
You evaluate and recommend advertising opportunities with the best ROI. ·        Events and PR: Your dynamic personality and charm enjoy representing Clarion at industry events hosted by Clarion or others.
You have a knack for creatively planning and executing marketing and client appreciation events in detail.
You know how to make a positive impression that exemplifies our core values through the setup, design, marketing, staff appearances, etc.
When you attend events, you have an innate ability to "work the room" through conversations and timely introductions.
Events may include golf outings, luncheons, educations seminars, job fairs, etc.
And finally, you understand our work doesn't end with the event, you continue by creating and administering follow-up plans with contacts met at all events.
·        Standards and Process:  You are eager to learn, implement and offer improvements to existing sales processes.
You are comfortable developing value-add emails and campaigns to encourage existing and new clients to engage with Clarion for their projects.
You are always thinking of ways to automate sales systems.
You are a CRM master, and you diligently maintain client information (contacts, opportunities, client accomplishments, etc.)
within it.
You help others to do the same.
You energetically assist teams with customer service coaching.
You are a champion of giving Kudos to the Clarion team based on client feedback you receive. ·        Overall: You'll be an excellent teammate who helps create and deliver sales and organizational goals, including sharing best practices on sales and marketing as well as refining and introducing new Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
You are familiar with applicable construction terminology and excited to help Clarion grow into new, diverse markets as identified by leadership. What our ideal candidate looks like: ·        You've "been there, done that": Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of sales experience in Commercial Real Estate Services.
·        You have some credentials: You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in business psychology, marketing, communications or similar.

You can communicate with industry-specific knowledge and information. ·        You are organized: You are a master at organizing details, directions, and time.
·        You are tech savvy: You are very comfortable and proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
You are excellent at preparing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and pitch books.
You are an expert with CRM's.
You have the desire and ability to learn and use work-specific software easily.
