UK-based manufacturer has a patented technology with proven history in the defense, space & nuclear sectors. They're launching unique consumer products for retail markets in the U.S. and have pre-orders in advance of product availability. The Company is established and fast-growing, selling its products globally. It has a modern & highly professional approach to business performance & culture and genuinely values its employees.
The BDM's #1 priority is to champion these retail products and build the company brand. Based out of Huntsville, AL and working with the UK-based Sales Manager and Commercial Director, you'll develop and manage a channel marketing strategy for North American markets. You'll be stateside employee #1. If you are flexible regarding your role & responsibilities, there is planned growth for you as the business grows.
In your first 30 days, you will:
Travel to the UK to meet the Team LEARN the technology & products Work with Sales Manager & Commercial Director to assemble a strategy & KPIs for developing the North American market Assist in developing annual budget & sales goals for the US and Canada Meet current distributors Start to plan a US distribution hub Qualify & develop relationships with an extensive list of leads from recent major trade shows Provide reports & feedback to Sales Manager and company leadership By 60 days:
Delivered the initial sales of a retail product that has already created a buzz in the Hunting & Recreational Shooting world! Support new & existing distributors in launching & marketing products through employee and customer training, marketing materials, trade shows, other marketing events Coordinate with Commercial Director to manage demand against supply Monitor sales activity & report against targets to the Commercial Director Identify & secure new marketing and sales opportunities End of 90 days:
Continue networking nationally to discover & nurture new relationships Identify new potential applications & product ideas for future development Introduce the patented products into new target business sectors Monitor & support a growing list of Distributors and Retailers Success will be measured by sales delivered against budget, distributor sales performance, customer satisfaction, strong relationships, market feedback, customer requirement feedback, management of CRM, communication with UK team, and effective use of time.

Are an experienced, ambitious sales professional with proven history of achieving goals & developing long-term relationships Have experience & a strong understanding of retail channel management Can deliver in a national sales environment; experience in Canada is a plus Pay attention to detail & can convey customer needs to the development team Are a team player, motivated by growth, adaptable to changing circumstances Have exceptional communication & presentation skills with ability to relate to internal team, distributors, end users Have enthusiasm for extensive travel throughout the US and Canada with occasional trips to the UK/Europe Demonstrate high levels of motivation, initiative, and stamina for a role that involves long days In return, the role offers a rare opportunity to work with unique & respected technology, gain valuable experience in exciting markets, and be part of growing the North American market from the ground up with support from a friendly, energized, motivated, professional management team.
