Business Development Manager - TPV/TPE - REMOTE DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Manager TPV/TPE -REMOTE for Building & Infrastructure, is responsible for generating and leading new sales of existing products or new products into new end markets or new segments within existing target markets- as dictated by the business strategy. The opportunities created by the Business Development Manager will be developed as part of the GROW process, the annual AOP process, and as assigned by the Strategic Planning & Marketing Director. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Account Managers to hand-off new sales, with Marketing to understand new market and application opportunities, and technical team to develop the new application or new products to succeed in the target markets or segments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a deep understanding of new market and product opportunities. Establish contacts and networks within key markets and industries as well as academic institutions to define market needs and facilitate discussion on technologies available to meet these needs. Validate the efficacy and value proposition of new offerings, as a Liaison between all functions, to solidify product scope, specifications / timing, regulatory, and costs of any new product development. Provide front line feedback where retooling or improving the offering is required or warranted. Provide insights to the marketing team regarding marketing collateral needs and utilizes this collateral to create industry awareness for the new offering. Lead cross functional team to scale up new opportunities. Serve as the point person and champion at the customer during incubation/scale up. Collect and translate the voice of the customer to lead development of new product/market and service offerings that meet customer's needs and wants. Lead training efforts for distribution channels involving new offerings. Report account activity highlights, market intel, customer VOC and account plans for subsequent weeks. In partnership with the [project management/pricing} key stakeholders (marketing, product management, finance etc.) -recommend, negotiate, and implement pricing strategy - as agreed with the Sales Director. Establish and cultivate relationships with potential customers and influencers. Communicate complex knowledge into a clear concise messaging for stakeholders at every level, both internally and externally. Comprehend market trends and helps shape the future of the product line. Utilize marketing/chemistry skills to position new products for sale. Use strong project management skills to plan and deliver the desired business outcome. Prioritize multiple projects and delivers results. Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team of suppliers and internal resources. Lead self and others to desired outcomes. Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Key Goals: New Ideas development for Innovation pipeline. Number of GROW projects by stage. Number of commercialized projects, volume, revenue, margin. New business contributions from the success of market penetration from new products and new markets, which should be increased by revenue, volume, and margin. BACKGROUND PROFILE: 5-8 years of experiences in building and construction industry relevant to compounding and polymer solutions. In-depth understanding of the user buying behaviors and competitive landscape in the building and construction industry is required. 3-5 years of experience successfully leading new business development in the market Demonstrate leadership skills in a business team environment. Experience using innovative approaches to creating new product concepts. Experience with planning and delivering effective technical presentations to groups. Contract and financial acumen. Technical understanding of our technology and its end use applications
