Job Description

To be successful in this role you will need to:
Ownership of the design-in process, ensuring successful integration of power management ICs into industrial applications such as building automation, home automation, energy/grid, smart appliances, and metering.Drive and coordinate attack plans with the sales and BU marketing teams to penetrate key accounts and grow the business in the region.Regularly review and analyze opportunities to track progress towards targets, implement corrective actions, and ensure linearity to achieve desired outcomes.Promote the power product portfolio holistically, highlighting the value proposition and differentiating features to key stakeholders.Lead technical training sessions for sales teams and local distribution partners, enabling them to effectively promote and sell power management solutions.Identify and create new engagements by leveraging industry knowledge and extensive network connections.Provide comprehensive feedback to the business regarding commercial and technical gaps, enabling the development of new, innovative product offerings.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in the power management and semiconductor industry.*The full details regarding your position scope as well as any future potential changes in work location and job scope will be provided during the interview process.

Qualifications

You will need the following knowledge & experience to be considered:
In-depth knowledge of power management ICs, including their functionalities and applications. (Mandatory)Extensive experience in industrial applications, such as building automation, home automation, energy/grid, smart appliances, and metering.Strong understanding of semiconductor development processes, from concept to production.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.Proven track record in driving business growth and successful penetration of new markets.Fluent Japanese / Business level English language ability.The following experience will make you stand out from other applicants:

Our Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy Power Products Group is seeking to hire a new Business Development Senior Manager for Industrial & Multi-Markets. Since January 2024 the VP has appointed several new Business Development professionals across the globe to drive this new team's growth and this Senior Manager role is a brand new position in Renesas Japan. It will therefore have the opportunity to enter a previously untapped market here for sales of Power Management products.
Although this is a start-up position, as you know there is competition for this lucrative business in Japan already. Therefore you will need to utilize all your deep knowledge of Power Management products as well as your ability to articulate a clear strategy to secure business within the industrial market such as building/home automation, energy/grid, smart appliances etc. Being able to influence product development, distribution management, connected dots and successfully operating in the unknown are key attributes needed in this position.

As the Sr. Manager of Business Development for Power Management Industrial and Multi-Market, your primary responsibility will be to drive sustainable growth and increase market share in Japan. You will be responsible for owning the design-in process, identifying, and growing a pipeline of opportunities, and maximizing the number of power sockets for each opportunity within the region. Your role will involve working closely with the sales and business unit marketing teams to develop and execute attack plans that align with the company's objectives.
Working Full Remotely (+some business trip) is permitted.
