This is an on-site position, located in Mountain View, CA.
The Buyer responsibilities will **
Review purchase requisitions, drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy and compliance with established policies and proceduresManage performance of purchase orders and suppliers, ensures compliance with all ISO requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.Specifying solicitations and bid packagesIdentifying strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.Evaluating proposals and negotiating prices/termsUnderstanding the buyer and seller's roles to establish mutually successful business arrangementsPrepare metric reports related to procurement to be presented to managementLeveraging your skill and talents throughout this role In this role you will make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.
Basic * At least 3-5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsA stable work history Preferred * Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institutionDemonstrate strong leadership skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.Proficiency in MRP systems such as SAP or ExpandableProficiency in MS Office suite Proteus offers stable employment with a full benefit package including medical and dental insurance, a 401k plan and profit sharing.
