Description: FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT JOB POSITION SUMMARY Builds, maintains, and documents Crescend Technologies' Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) ECAD environment. (PADS/Altium) in a high pace, dynamic environment including existing designs and new product development. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF JOB POSITION Work involves acting as part of a project team to create high quality products and ensure on-time delivery to our customers. Focus efforts on designing, prototyping, developing, testing, integrating, validating and documenting designs supporting a wide range of markets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Details ECAD/MCAD designs in CAD controlled engineering environment. Creates engineering drawings from basic concept or specification drawings. Designs and modifies PCB and PCBAs using industry tools. Creates and edits PCB artwork within ECAD environment. Works closely with engineering team to complete design layouts and generate fabrication drawings. Designs of various fixtures and tools to support the assembly and testing of products. Works with program management, procurement, and production engineering, to create a cost-effective product with high yield and ease of manufacturability. Prepares documentation for communication with engineering team, management, and customers. Maintains and updates all engineering-controlled documentation. Drives continuous improvement activities within PCBA manufacturing and supports Engineering team to strengthen core-competency. Works in both office and factory environments. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES May mentor interns. EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE Completion of a BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or related field and 1+ years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
