Position Overview: The CAD Technician at Atlantic AE is a non-licensed architectural staff member with a professional or associates degree in architecture and two years of related experience preferred. The CAD Technician will be responsible for utilizing BIM software, primarily Revit, to prepare drawings for architect's designs for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities: Utilize BIM software, primarily Revit, to prepare drawings for architect's designs for assigned projects Work with the project team to execute design decisions in both the design phase and construction administration Gather project requirements and specifications from architects or other team members Check drawings for accuracy and coordinate revisions with the project team Contribute to the overall drawing package through quality control checks Responsible for redlining and ensuring compliance with architectural standards and codes Conduct due diligence, including research on zoning ordinances, building codes, and deviations from client standards Support the Project Architects and Project Coordinators in implementing the design execution plan Assist the Architects and Project Coordinators as the project point of contact during construction, supporting project and design decisions with the general contractor and client Reference client standards, best practices, and previous projects for solutions Support and assist the Project Architect on RFI/Submittal responses Requirements: Professional degree or associates degree in architecture preferred Minimum of two years of related experience Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit Strong understanding of architectural standards and codes Excellent communication and teamwork skills Work Environment: Fast-paced and collaborative Remote work environment with occasional in-person meetings or site visits Job Posted by ApplicantPro
