We are looking for a Capture Manager to join the Strategy and Customer Development Team in ARKA's Space & Defense business located in Danbury, CT.
This position combines external relationship management with internally focused, hands-on activities in support of new business capture and efforts to define and execute growth strategies aligned to key business areas within the business.
Incumbent will be responsible to develop and execute a winning business pursuit and provide the leadership, coordination, resource allocation, strategy, and management needed to prepare the winning bid and drive rapid growth within the business.
Responsibilities: Work directly with business leadership to define and implement pursuit strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.Support and conduct direct engagement with key government and industry customers to understand mission needs and program imperatives.Collaborate across programs and pursuits to lead identification and support execution of Space and Defense campaigns and strategies to capture new opportunities.Lead and direct the pursuit of new business opportunities with a variety of defense and intelligence customers.Partner with business leads and cross-functional teams to define and execute capture strategies that produce solutions to meet customer mission needs.Lead and support preparation of responses to customer opportunities, including white papers, proposals, rough order of magnitude estimates, and responses to requests for information.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the business areas and across the business by interacting with others in a positive and productive work environment.Be embedded with the team to maximize effectiveness, business decisions, and guidance.Travel to customer sites as necessary to develop lasting relationships.Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of experience leading complex capture management pursuits within the DOD and/or the Intelligence Community.Experience in federal capture management, large strategic customer engagements or pursuits, business development, sales and support, or related roles.Experience with federal procurement processes, regulations (e.g.
FAR/DFARS), and contracting vehicles.Experience leading medium and large-scale capture or strategic pursuit efforts winning multi-year contracts with large government or commercial enterprise customers.Results oriented, independent, resourceful, proactive, and customer focused while coordinating internally and externally to ARKA.Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver messages to working level, executives, and external audiences.Proactive and strategic mindset, to anticipate next steps towards a goal or vision.Ability to handle many complex tasks and deadline pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail and quality.Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field.Active Top Secret security clearance.Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in technical or business or a related field.Experience with Electro-optical space payloads.Existing contacts within the IC and DoD within the geospatial intelligence community.Location: The position is located onsite at our facility in Danbury, CT.

ITC & Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active US Government Security Clearance.
