Catechesis of the Good Shepherd CoordinatorTo develop, implement and evaluate the curriculum for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program (ages 3 through grade 5). Recruit train and evaluate teachers in accord with the Pastor. All Faith Formation staff will coordinate and collaborate with one another to ensure a cohesive, comprehensive progression of formation for our youth and their families. All positions will support the Mission Statement: St. Peters is here to bring the good news of the Gospel to all, so that every person can have a personal, life changing and life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ. QualificationsPreferred college degree in religious education or related field such as education, theology, psychology, sociology) and two years' experience as a teacher or coordinator.Fully trained Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Catechist or working towards full training in Levels 1 – 3.Ability to relate and communicate effectively with children, parishioners, Pastor and other staff members.Ability to creatively contribute to ongoing program development.Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.Demonstrable interest in this type of work.Ability to use a computer; Ability to operate pertinent computer systems.Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks within allotted time.Must be responsible in carrying out high quality work.Application InstructionsPlease contact Elizabeth McCanna with any questions about the positions.
