Job Description:BENEFITSCDL Truck Drivers earn an average of $1,300 to $1,600$25/overnight (2-7 nights out a week)*Truck Driver Pay Advancement*Tanker Drivers are awarded Full Benefits!Tanker Drivers can enroll in 401k and Profit SharingTruck Drivers can elect a Flexible Spending AccountTruck Drivers earn Vacation PayTanker Drivers earn Holiday PayTanker Drivers are eligible for Tuition ReimbursementTruck Drivers operate Quality Hazmat/Tanker EquipmentTruck Drivers are Paid for CDL-A Hazmat/Tanker Training (up to $1000/week!)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTanker Driver Ensures that commodities are loaded, transported, and delivered in accordance with the Tidewater Transit Drivers Operating Procedures and all pertinent regulations.Truck Driver Verifies all information for transport of commodity on paperwork assigned by dispatcher is accurate and correct.Tanker Driver Ensures that the transport can be done in accordance with all regulations.Truck Driver Checks Hazmat/Tanker equipment to ensure that it is proper and clean for the type of commodity to be transported and for safe operation.Tanker Driver Loads the commodity in accordance with instructions from the Tidewater Transit Operating Procedures.Truck Driver Transports the commodity in accordance with all company, local, and federal regulations, while operating CDL-A, Hazmat/Tanker trucks.Tanker Driver Unloads the commodity in accordance with instructions from the Tidewater Transit Operating Procedures.Truck Driver Ensures copies of TWT Quality Assurance Brief and a Delivery receipt form are in possession prior to departing for load pick up.Tanker Driver performs Pre-trip inspection of Hazmat/Tanker equipment is accomplished in accordance with Tidewater Transit Operating Procedures.Truck Driver Ensures that the tractor and trailer number are the same as dispatch.If the commodity has not been pre-loaded by the customer, then either load or vacuum the commodity in accordance with instructions from the Tidewater Transit Operating Procedures.During transport, the tanker driver must obey all local, state, and federal regulations, including weight, speed, hours of service, and maintenance of log and vehicle.Off-load commodity is in accordance with Tidewater Transit Operating Procedures with special emphasis to ensure TWT Quality Assurance Brief is completed prior to off-loading.ROUTESDedicated - some overnights required - $25/overnightRegional - some overnights required - $25/overnightABOUT TIDEWATER TRANSITFamily-owned and operated since 1949, Tidewater Transit has been leading the industry in CDL-A Hazmat/Tanker liquid and dry bulk transportation.
