Essential Functions

Incumbents may perform all or most of the primary accountabilities listed below.
Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the incumbent's performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent's immediate supervisor or manager.
1.
Regularly reviews client census data and determines which patients are still active in DMETrack but not appearing on the hospice census.
Verifies discrepancies with clients and providers.
2.
Regularly monitors DME % metrics to determine when profitability margins are thinning based on DME Days (Days a patient has DME) and reported patient days within DMETrack.
This includes identifying client trends and root-causing issues and putting action plan in place to resolve.
3.
In a professional manner, contacts clients and relationship managers to obtain a correct census.
This may include creating and providing a current active census to the client for confirmation.
4.
Regularly receives, processes and corrects hospice discharge data within DMETrack to support clients and ensure correct census information.
5.
Monitors DMETrack for duplicate patients and ensures billing adjustments are applied as necessary.
6.
Monitors DMETrack for patients who have DME with multiple providers and communicates such to the appropriate analyst.
7.
Audits and corrects Electronic Medical Records interface to ensure pick-up orders are automated.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
•High school diploma or GED is required
•Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred
Work Experience or Related Experience:
•2-3 years experience in which incumbents regularly interface with customers and/or vendors.
This experience should include data support that entails general analytics and the presentation of information.
•Experience in the healthcare or medical fields in which incumbents have gained an understanding of durable medical equipment is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•A high level of professionalism, customer service and discretion is required to represent the organization and interact with other organizations as described
•Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required to perform the functions as described, including the ability to present information and training to varied clients
•Good analytical skills to review data, identify trends, correlate information, and provide a summary of findings
•A general knowledge and understanding of hospice and durable medical equipment operations is preferred
•Knowledge and familiarity with StateServ's proprietary order management platform is preferred
•The ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow standard operating procedures with regard to patient data to ensure compliance with HIPAA is required
Equipment:
•Strong knowledge business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required
•Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to run, analyze and present data as described
