Roe Painting, a rapidly growing commercial, industrial & residential painting and floor coating company in Boise, ID is looking to add a
Chief Estimator & Project Manager
to the team. The Chief Estimator & Project Manager is a position of great responsibility, requiring technical knowledge of the painting industry with a strong focus on business development, quality control, compliance, and client satisfaction. The Manager oversees all aspects of a project from lead development and estimating to scheduling and QA/QC. They empower a sense of responsibility and hold themselves accountable for profitability and business outcomes. They maintain our culture by ensuring client satisfaction and creating a business family out of the project teams.
Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000 annually, bonus structure available for this role

Essential Duties
Proactively generate leads and handle outreach for prospective accounts
Develop and lead sales and marketing strategies including goal setting and techniques
Make outreach phone calls to customers and ensure customer satisfaction to encourage referrals
Attend regular and relevant networking events
Help with trade shows and other company promotions and activities when needed
Develop & build relationships with customers to position us as their favorite trusted resource
Sales & Account Management : Skillfully manage a commercial sales division using a proven process. Follow up relentlessly to maximize the time & money already invested in the potential customer; Support existing customers to discover new opportunities; Provide regular & thorough updates to CRM & other software to share info with others; Enhance customer relationships with face-to-face meetings, events, routine messages, etc.
Estimating Team Management : Manage a team of commercial estimators that produce take-offs from plans; Review take-offs for accuracy per plans & specifications; Review detailed proposals created by the team & submit them by published deadlines.
Commercial Estimating : Maximize our estimating opportunities; Select projects to estimate that fit our preferred types of work; Use our software to perform take-offs & accurately estimate projects according to our gross profit model; Write detailed & accurate proposals for our customers & Field Work Orders for our field. Managing the Estimating Team would be the priority, but may estimate your own projects as needed.
Commercial Business Development : Leverage new & past relationships to increase sales opportunities & relationships; Develop sales targets, strategies, target customers, & other metrics for success; Work a Prospecting Plan to bring new business & relationships to Roe Painting; attend networking & other events to acquire new contacts & potential new business.
Personal Development : Attend ongoing sales, product, & service training to increase skills; Work with internal coworkers to improve each other's performance; Attend industry conferences & additional trainings when appropriate.
Develop, manage, and communicate project budgets and cost forecasts
Effectively analyze, negotiate, and execute contracts
Responsible for managing contractual issues
Develop and maintain project schedule(s) to ensure deadlines are met
Determine and manage staffing, equipment resources, and finish products throughout project
Visit sites regularly to review project status and resolve issues
Review and process billing from vendors and contractors
Review and process change order requests in a timely fashion
Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure projects are in compliance with safety regulations
Implement and oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans
Ensure construction site rules and procedures are implemented and followed
Supervise multiple projects, estimators, superintendents, and crews
Provide training, feedback, and performance reviews for all supervised staff
Communicate and coordinate with the General Contractor and team on site
Maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of relevant project management experience, painting industry experience preferred
5+ years of experience with plan takeoff and project estimation in the painting industry required
2+ years of experience with commercial sales and marketing
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent is a plus
Experience in a leadership role including employee supervision
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and PM Software
Experience with Procore, PlanGrid and other similar software
Working knowledge of cost control, budgeting, contracts, bill and forecasting
Ability to multitask, problem solve and maintain composure in high pressure situations
Ability to read, understand, and explain construction documents on all levels
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Ability to maintain a high level of client satisfaction
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on or under budget
A team player with leadership abilities
Valid driver's license
