Summary This role serves as a member of the Senior Management Team and is oversight to the Information Technology and Facilities departments. This position is responsible for administration of the Credit Union's infrastructure and Information Systems. Handles planning, coordinating, budgeting and executing of all technology initiatives and activities of the Credit Union. This individual will ensure the alignment between technology and Credit Union strategy, define and implement IT policies, standards, and best practices and make certain that IT systems are operational and secure at all times, all with an eye towards a streamlined user experience for both members and employees. This position will also provide general oversight to Credit Union facilities operations.
Responsibilities Oversees the development of the strategic plan for all technology initiatives at the Credit Union, with particular emphasis on technology that impacts member experience, in order to position the organization as a best-in-class provider of technology enabled financial services. Delivers and executes on the short and long-term visions of the Credit Union's technology and information security needs and goals. Keeps abreast of industry trends in technology to ensure that the Credit Union's technology infrastructure and equipment are current, stable and secure. Responsible for the Information Technology budget and ensures that it is consistent with the Credit Union's strategic plan. Ensures IT staff provide exceptional service delivery for both employees and external members. Develops and executes plans for the Credit Union's network, telecommunications, hardware and enterprise software requirements according to business needs. Oversees and directs third-party technology resources to maintain and improve operational efficiency. Negotiates and monitors vendor contracts and service agreements. Administers the Credit Union's Information Security Program. Develops and documents standards, policies and procedures to ensure optimal operational workflow efficiency, system security and protection of the Credit Union's confidential information. Develops and administers the Credit Union's IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans. Collaborates with VP, IT to schedule, coordinate and conduct testing of the plans. Serves as a member of the Credit Union's Crisis Management Team (CMT), which is responsible for the initial response and for guiding the organizational response during any emergency or disruptive situation. Remains current in regulatory compliance and industry IT developments. Ensures that the Credit Union's IT practices conform to current regulatory guidance. Recommends changes to support regulatory requirements and to ensure that the Credit Union's IT infrastructure remains competitive. Responsible for interactions regarding IT audits and that any findings and recommendations are addressed and/or resolved. Oversees all Credit Union facilities functions (including physical security) to ensure they are managed and operating effectively and efficiently. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field, Master's Degree and Professional Certifications preferred Extensive technical knowledge of network and operating systems, as well as network hardware, protocols and standards 10 to 15 years of similar or related experience (preferably in Financial Services) Demonstrated leadership ability Exceptional strategic vision for the future of technology (within Financial Services preferred) Well-organized and attentive to detail Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills Comprehensive project management skills Note: This role requires on-site presence in Hunt Valley, MD.
